I’ve lived in TX since I graduated a couple decades ago and fully agree that Texas is massively politically eff’d up and…what state isn’t massively corrupt AF right now? Louisiana is still probably winning that contest, but it’s a toss up really.
Anything and everything that can be monetized is being monetized. It’s late stage capitalism weaving into every aspect of our lives and displacing morals, ethics and fun.
Why would you feel bad for him? Because why is he being extremely well compensated if it’s not for situations like this?
I think most on this forum would take millions in compensation especially if you didn’t have to actually address complex financial and ethical issues.
This scandal is going to torpedo their season. This is going to be such a distraction, I don’t see any way they live up to expectations this season.

Tech is just a Temu Texas at this point. Just as arrogant without the reputation of Texas. At this point I view them the same as the $EC and B1G- namely that I don’t need to acknowledge their existence or watch their games on TV anymore. I used to be pro ISU and any B12 team- this whole thing has gotten me to the point where I don’t care about any team on tv outside of ISU. Allowing Sorsby to play after this is just going to speed up the end of CFB.

It’s a real dorky way to describe it, but he has a bit of a point. It’s way too easy to gamble, we’re creating a nation of addicts, and I think we’ll look back on this as we look back on the start of the opioid crisis.
