••• 2026 Official Chicago Cubs Thread •••

I don't get it. I feel like the Cubs have to be one of the worst teams using challenges this year, not sure if that is tracked? I don't feel like Dansby has had one successful challenge, and he uses most of them in very odd situations.
You have to challenge that. You won’t have a higher leverage spot.

Glad Webb was credited with the win in that one. He was nails with those two K's in the bottom of the ninth. Showed some of the moxie I've been hoping for from the pen and the team as a whole.

Wouldnt be so sure on Brown by that date. At least a month of no throwing. Then I'm guessing minimum of a couple weeks of ramping back up. Heard on Chicago radio them say there is some concern this could be like what he had in 2024 and think that pretty much ended his season. So going to be pretty cautious.
This article doesn't make me feel good about his return any time soon. Sounds like they think something in his mechanics are causing a stress fracture in his neck, but they don't know what. It definitely sounds like he wants to take his time making sure they get it right this time. It's his health so I don't blame him, but it sure doesn't sound good for a quick return.

Jordan Wicks I owe you an apology
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile. I still don't trust Wicks in any situation till he can show that he can replicate good outings consistently. Glad he got out of that inning but we were pretty much out of options already using 6 pitchers before he came in.

Would be nice if the offense wanted to make an appearance today with the wind blowing out against a pitcher having a horrible season
