Whatever happened to CW and Millers show?I think a show with Condon, and Jon Miller, and maybe another tavern hawk would have a perfect spot in the garbage can on the surface of the sun.
First 15 minutes of the show mostly but also references throughout. Heather joined at the end and even asked if she should be on air
It’s basically corporate retail. They don’t care about the small man or locals.
I think Jon dipped. I’d like it back myself.
Was listening to 1460 while driving this afternoon and it was the Stu Gotz (spelling??) show and he was making a big deal about KXNO now having his show on and named the local director as making a great call to carry his show in the Des Moines market. I was waiting for someone to call in and tell him about the blood bath, but I got bored and flipped over to a podcast
At this rate Bob Quinn from the Big Show will be the host of Sound Off on WHO radio after Hawkeye games this fall.
I mean, Miller has always been a flake so it's not a huge surprise
Because so many people in Iowa care about Jimmy Butler and Kawai Leonard. I read through the transcript on my Podcast app- they didn’t even take a call, though it would have been entertaining to see how many pissed off listeners got past the screeners
I was a fan of CW and Jon Millers show. For a hawk he’s not bad.
I thought years ago he was bad and this go around with Chris it seemed like he was more at peace with himself and life and even acknowledged his past.
It was a good listen.
He talked openly that he used to just try and troll ISU fans...he's also admitted many times that he used to be an alcoholic.
I can remember when Iowa went to the Orange Bowl and Miller did a live spot during the Deace show...man he was hammered, like big time. I sent an email to Deace concerned about his well-being.
I would definitely listen as I like true, detailed sports talk where people can put their homerism aside (both CW and Miller definitely can) over 2 Guys where it feels like they are both playing characters in order to lean into some contrived rivalry talk.
Seems like too much sports radio/pods are people with hot takes or trying to hard to entertain you. Some people just want sports talk without the schtick.
Yeah, I thought he manned up and owned it.
He's obviously talented, would be nice to have him back if everything is OK.
Ozzy’s Boneyard is my go to. I also love the ‘40s channel on Sundays.
