Chris Williams & Brent Blum take questions from subscribers about the upcoming Iowa State football season. Which Cyclones do the guys think have an NFL future? More analysis on President David Cook’s search for a new athletics director. Post Malone wore an Iowa shirt in Jack Trice Stadium on Friday night. How does that happen? All this and more, courtesy of our friends at Mechdyne.

Lest someone get confused, the Ames Boys and Girls Club Trivia Night is Thursday.

Since the Boys & Girls Club event that @brentblum is emceeing is sold out, there is another great Cyclone event on Thursday that you can attend. The Cyclone Gridiron Club is hosting a Summer Social for Members at Talons Golf in Ankeny starting at 4:00 with dinner at 5:00 followed by a live auction and program with Coach Rogers. The event includes:

- A wonderful meal served by Iowa Outlaws BBQ, courtesy of the Absolute Group, and complimentary beverages;
- Unique Cyclone experience packages, ISU merchandise and memorabilia available in the silent and live charity auctions;
- An opportunity to tour host Dennis Albaugh's incredible Chevrolet car collection;
- Capping off the evening will be remarks from new ISU Head Coach Jimmy Rogers, who will also introduce his coaching staff.

More info on Cyclone Gridiron Club Membership and the event this Thursday can be found at https://cyclonegridironclub.com

Regarding farmageddon, honestly I don't think its you guys that are out of touch with regard to the rivalry, it seemed more like the AD is. Especially when Jamie used the low number of tickets sold by the AD to the road game as the justification for why they couldnt argue for it, when very few people buy road tickets through the AD anymore as those tickets are often more expensive and in worse locations than you can get on the resale market.

Said this when I interned there years ago, but the biggest missed opportunity of all time is Farm Bureau not sponsoring Farmageddon. The company’s largest offices are in WDM and Manhattan. I’d venture a guess that the alumni from both schools makes up a significant amount of the company’s employees. It’s so obvious that I can’t believe it hasn’t happened yet.

I have a feeling that the only reason why the two athletic departments refuse to acknowledge it as "Farmageddon" is because there is no title sponsor.
