End of semester grades

No reason to worry, but no reason to not steel reinforce your nut cup either. We are Iowa State.

Obviously we don't know about the new guys, but have grades ever really been an issue/concern with this team?

While we're freaking out about everything else involving basketball, we may as well include this. Who cares if there is no basis for it, that should never stand in the way of an ISU basketball fan and a good freak out.

I heard Monte failed his Walking for Fitness class and has to transfer to DMACC for the spring semester to get his grades up.

I thought this was going to about us grading them.

Okay I'll start.

Naz. A- I think he's played really well given his lack of practice, and off kilter shot lately.
Morris. A. Leading team, making tough shots.
Greorges. A-. It was nice seeing us break down the zone recently with his decision making in the middle of it.
McKay. B. I was thinking B- but his free throw shooting the other night bumped it up. He needs to stop putting the ball on the floor so much.
Matt. A. Can't believe it, but it's all relative.
Nader. B. His defense has been feast or famine.
Hallice. A-. A pleasant surprise maybe even an A.

The one week Derrick Rose attended the actual Memphis campus to get him through an entire year of school, pretty much set the groundwork for how the NCAA really feels about it's male basketball athlete students. As it turns out, they were expecting him to actually go for an entire semester, but he got hurt on his way to class on day three.

Story time. I've probably told it on CF a couple times.
I was partners with Reggie George (basketball) and DeAndre Jackson (football) in a class at ISU.
Reggie: Man, midterms came out, I'm getting failing a class and got a D in another.
Me: Oh man, that sucks. I got a C- in Physics, I'll be alright though. How'd you do DeAndre?
DeAndre: F's. (long pause) Six F's.

Reggie laughing hysterically and me not knowing what to do.
