OK, I love a little harmless trash talking with rivals but I find many responses and phrases so tired and overused.

The rent free thing was dumb about 6 months after someone first said it. Now 5 years later it's really dumb. Every team talks about every team. We talk about Iowa and Kansas. They talk about us.

• Anything about how the Big 10 is the best conference
• “We are not racist, but…”
• Cyclowns
• Bringing up football during basketball season
• Talking about the all time series, like games played 50 years ago mean anything
• Super bowl
• Never giving ISU credit when we win.

I hate trash talk in general, but the biggest one for me is using a school’s sexual abuse or assault scandals as trash talk. I think it’s completely unacceptable, is unfair to the victims, and also minimizes/trivializes those crimes

Using Super Bowl in reference to how ISU views the ISU-Iowa game is two decades outdated. If anything the opposite is true now - and Iowa players have directly confirmed that in the past with references to early and extra practice prep specifically for the ISU game.

"Super bowl" definitely bugs me the most. The point of being a fan is caring passionately for your team. I love Iowa State and I love when we beat Iowa in anything or Kansas in basketball. I don't care if other people find that lame. **** em.
