A Facebook friend posted about her lucky Cyclone game-day socks during the Round of 32 - she'd lost one of them, but felt so strongly about their efficacy that she still wore the one she could find. I figured it was timely today.

Do you have any rituals or superstitions in which you'll be participating today for the game? Certain clothing items, playing a certain song, whatever you got?

I have a pretty weak bladder after five kids, and get nervous and have to pee a lot during games. I put the game on my phone and if we do better when I am in the bathroom, I stay there until the bathroom doesn’t seem to be helping the Cyclones any more. I know this is extremely mental.

Hey, whatever works, and no judgment!

I'm currently pretending like I don't have superstitions, but it backfires on me, because I think about wearing a certain shirt or doing a certain thing for a game, and then I think that maybe not doing those things on purpose is a superstition in itself. I can't win lol
I also have lucky shirts. My current one is my ISU golf shirt. If we win when I am wearing a shirt, I wear it every game until it loses.

Not so much for games, but I always went around the Zodiac in the Union, needed all the help I could get when I was a freshman. I did enjoy the social aspects of ISU when I arrived.

I really hope I don't find a penny with it being tails up as I will never pick one up! One of my biggest superstition.

My wife had a friend pass away from pancreatic cancer and one of her things was about dimes, don't recall what it was but wife swears that if she finds a dime it is her friends way of saying "hi". Low and behold we were leaving Whiskey River after the women's game last Friday night and what does my find see on the ground? Yep, a dime. I don't know how she could even see it as it was dark out. When she pointed to it, I couldn't even see it.

If it’s stupid and works, it’s not stupid.

Wearing the same hoody I wore last Friday and Sunday and haven't washed it.
Only wore it for the games so hopefully it's not too 'gamey' smelling.

And if it is, like the ISU team, I'm not apologizing.

I used to always wear Cyclone gear and it seemed my "lucky" hoodies all lost their luck lol. Now I force my little one into a ISU hoodie and I'm hoping the "lucky" hoodie is back via him!
