“Literally” never said they were 3-4 deep at every weight, but typically you see a lot of names from the top programs in opens and as back up options in duals. Penn state being the top program, they get the headlines and top spot on TV. Just found it a little surprising I didn’t recognize a lot of names at all.

I never said you did, my friend. It was a rationale for them having room guys that many haven’t heard of. Like all programs.

Is this your assumption that he got paid a lot?

A lot? Tough to know. But enough, given the budget? Absolutely.

Flynn 125 for a year, Meza/Frost/whoever else 133 - hopefully Frost can still make it. Flynn could be a one-year while Castillo redshirts. I know last time Flynn thought about coming here he wanted assurance he would have the spot "locked down" and that wasn't given to him.

I just wonder where Ech will be by season start. If he’s out it’d be nice to have Flynn then you can bump everyone up to fit meza in at 133 without sitting one of those guys.

I wouldn’t take Flynn unless he is basically free and there is a reason he was so bad last year. 133 potentially has Reineri, Frost, Grice & Osmany ahead of Meza.

Speaking of Reineri any word if he is going to get a year. With Ono getting a year of eligibility I don’t see why he shouldn’t other than we’re not Penn State.

Weak mindset from a kid whose never done anything. Pass.

It was more about Castillo being able to redshirt for a year and not be thrown into the fire. Still think he’s really small and won’t be ready right away, but maybe he will be

Anyone but Flynn honestly. He’s very mediocre and lacks offense. Pretty sure Cruz out of Iowa majored him. I’m fine with the options at 125 right now. Castillo will get a lot stronger on the weight room this summer and Meza is also an option too as well as Osmany?

Having seen Osmany this spring I would be shocked if he is able to effectively make 125.

He looked better suited for 141 than 125…

I’ll trust the coaches who are in the room. If he is better than Meza and Perryman you wrestle him as there is no guarantee he will be here tomorrow with the current transfer/NIL environment.

forgot we still have Perryman, I'll take him over Flynn for sure. For some reason I forgot about him. Let perryman go and give castillo the year to grow. I think Castillo is probably winning those battles but man that kid can be on the podium quite a bit if he just has a little time to develop physically

The one thing about that 125 weight class is it’s anyone’s game really, obviously every weight class can be that way, but 125 especially these past couple years. I think Castillo could come in and compete at a high level.

If Perryman makes a jump sure, but my understanding is Castillo was already handling all of our 125 pounders last year as a high schooler. Absolutely no reason to let him sit a year if that's the case.
