Every time I try to tune in there is zero sports talk...

I wonder if they are trying too hard to be like Murph and Andy. Their radio show, and now podcast, is about one third sports and two thirds bathroom humor, restaurant and beer talk, current Iowa events, reddit talk, and whatever the hell Scott adds to the mix.

Unfortunately, the remaining kxno hosts are simply not good with non sports talk. They would probably be better off shifting towards what Miller and Condon are doing, which is almost 100% sports, rather than trying to emulate murph and andy.

I love that Spotify AI names and shows segment length so you can just skip whole segments if they don't entertain you. With M&A I skip CC talk and Mr. Movie easily. If I'm current on podcasts I'll listen to most of their other stuff. When I get behind like I am with the 4th, it's nice to be able to skip whole segments.

Other Spotify benefits - has video just like YT, can switch to audio only version, can turn off phone screen on mobile and it continues playing unlike YT.

I like Busse. I decided to pay for his content and I’ve been more than satisfied. I wouldn’t wish being paired with Heather on anybody, especially if it’s their first radio hosting gig.
Busse has definitely improved since he took the job, but I can’t shake the feeling that he really doesn’t respect (or maybe even like) Iowa State (sort of) or the Big 12 (definitely).

Osen never shied away from his Badger-dom, but it seemed like he genuinely loved covering ISU and the Big 12

So much so he bolted for the first opportunity he had to leave. Lol.

I don't think it has anything to do with Iowa State. Osen just spent every waking minute working and on 247. Everyone just wants to compares Busse to Osen and holds those expectations over him, which just isn't fair.

Plus Alec started at the worst possible time in a recruiting slow period and where the staff was withholding information following the gambling scandal.

Busse lost me when he said on some big 12 YouTube show that “ISU really underperformed in basketball this year. Injuries had a little to do with it but mostly it’s a lack of star level players”.

Iowa has a lot of people and publications covering them. Most are fan boys pretending to me media. They tend to stand behind the teams and programs no matter what. Wont call them out on anything. Lots of propping Iowa teams up as well as the teams they play.
Eickholt tried to get me banned from 247 because I posted pics of him wearing Iowa gear as a fan.

I think Busse has gotten pretty good at his job. There’s just a lot of backhanded comments that suggest he thinks ISU is kind of minor league.
