No it does not. The general consensus is they are planning to take 2 TE in this class since they didn’t land one last year.Assume this means no Jacobson?

If I were to pick someone, I’d say Dylan Soehner, after he adds some pounds.6-6, 240, lean guy. He'll be playing at a much weightier level down the road. Like his nimble feet, moves well, imho.
Does he remind us of any of our current TEs? I know, we've got highly regarded youngsters in that room we haven't seen yet. Hope he's set firmly on ISU (two previous commitments).
Welp. Never a done deal but it's not a good sign...
Keep the lines of communication open. After 2 years of limited playing time at A&M he'll find his way back to AmesWhat a colossal, inexcusable whiff by this coaching staff if this prediction holds up
Why do you feel a need to insult the kid?Keep the lines of communication open. After 2 years of limited playing time at A&M he'll find his way back to Ames
Not sure it's an insult. Very difficult to see quality playing in the SECWhy do you feel a need to insult the kid?
Welp, hopefully someday down the road like his brother he will find his way to Ames.![]()
2026 Waukee (IA) TE Evan Jacobson commits to Texas A&M
Mike Elko and the Fightin' Texas Aggies have welcomed the commitment of 2026 Waukee (IA) tight end Evan Jacobson. Standing at 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds, Jacobson is one of the best overall players coming out of Iowa in this cycle and is the 27th member of A&M's 2026 class.texags.com
Your BFF Kirk didnt get him either, is that also a whiff? What a colossal, inexcusable whiff by this coaching staff if this prediction holds up
What $$ is he getting at A&M compared to what he'd get here? What a colossal, inexcusable whiff by this coaching staff if this prediction holds up
Is Iowa 30 mins away from his front door? Did his brother play at Iowa? Did Iowa not sign a TE in last years class and currently have none in this years class? Is Iowa's OC also their TE coach?Your BFF Kirk didnt get him either, is that also a whiff?
I hear what you are saying, but our TE room is one of our deepest. Is Iowa 30 mins away from his front door? Did his brother play at Iowa? Did Iowa not sign a TE in last years class and currently have none in this years class? Is Iowa's OC also their TE coach?
Just another asinine comment from RagingCloner, what's new.
An A&M TE hasn't had more than 25 receptions or 250 yards since 2021, and since Elko has been a HC, no TE has ever achieved either of these. ISU has had at least one TE achieve both 25+ receptions and 250+ yards the last 2 years. Moore is a Sr this year, and Burkle and Brahmer will both be seniors next year - Jacobson's would-be freshman year.I hear what you are saying, but our TE room is one of our deepest.
As far as the bolded part, spot on my friend
FWIW, Iowa didn’t offer him. Rumor is they felt it was going to come down to money or ISU. They also got 3 really good TE prospects last year. I’d be surprised if they didn’t take at least one this year though. They just might not feel he’s worth a bag.Your BFF Kirk didnt get him either, is that also a whiff?
So why would he go to A&M?An A&M TE hasn't had more than 25 receptions or 250 yards since 2021, and since Elko has been a HC, no TE has ever achieved either of these. ISU has had at least one TE achieve both 25+ receptions and 250+ yards the last 2 years. Something that's interesting, is A&M signed the #4 TE in the 2023 class and the #3 & #5 TE in the 2022 class - all 3 transferred out and they don't really have any highly ranked TE's on their roster. But does that really matter if they aren't throwing to the TE's anyway?
