    Speaking of Campbell's decisions, we wouldn't be having this convo at all if our coach had addressed the game at hand in his presser, rather than deflecting to fan base criticism. I wonder if the coach that preaches personal responsibility would like to have that one back?

    Well, he had just missed two (uncharacteristically, as you say) -- and the last one was off by the broad side of a barn. Moreover, as others have stated a made field goal doesn't win the game anyway. But that's a different point.

    Oline gonna be an eyeroll again this year. At least coaches not pumping sunshine like last season. I thought their technique looked surprisingly poor in the posted video. Slow feet, high bodies, weak hands, etc. And no #28 to cover it up. I'm more worried than I was prior to seeing the vid.

    I guess I'm what you'd call a "social" CFB fan. If I want to watch a game and its not on broadcast tv, I go to a sports bar. Even then, I only do so for ISU games. I'd rather pay for wings and beer at a pub than subscription.

    I went with 8. There has not been as much hype from the coaches as last year (when I thought 9-10 wins). Nevertheless, there's been enough of it that I am holding the program to high expectations. Plus, lots of guys on the position awards lists. That has mean something, right?

    You are making a huge--and false--presumption about how "city people" treat each other. You're also assuming that an urban environment only offers disadvantages in relation to the examples you mention. The world I've experienced is sharply different from the picture you paint.
