    IIRC, ISU has 18 varsity programs and the NCAA D1 minimum is 16.

    Adding Iowa State and say Kansas isn't "keeping up with the SEC". If that Thamel article is correct, the ACC schools are only locked up until 2035 because of a trash TV deal. I'm sure there are ways around that.

    Does Iowa State or any other remaining B12 school help Ohio State make more $$$? I don't know why the Big Ten would rush to grab two more programs if it doesn't increase everyone's piece of the pie.
