    Sounds like firewall settings on the machine. Sounds like http might be turned off would explain why you can ping and the IM clients are working.

    Wait until the disk boots up completely. you should get 3 menu items. Hit R to enter the recovery console Hit enter to install windows Hit esc to exit - I believe. At this point Hit R. Then continue with the necessary steps.

    What we really need is a go to defender who can stop a player when they start heating up instead of letting them have career games against us. I would really be interested in the stat about how many players had career games against us this year.
