    Eh, there may be some novelty to it for awhile, but it too will get boring. I don't think any form of distraction can overcome how terrible it is to be in a stadium specifically to watch a game in which there are frequently occurring huge gaps in play.

    One of my most bizarre memories was that after his acquittal, a classmate showed up at school having had their picture taken with OJ after bumping into him somewhere on a trip. As if he were just any regular old celebrity. I also remember the anticipation of watching the verdict live in class.

    And that sucks, and the pendulum has swung too far in the direction of players being disposable parts. Hopefully as things settle down, that pendulum swings back somewhat, but for now it is what it is. It would be nice, however, if our media coverage and discussion around recruiting HS kids...

    They invited these guys into their program and within 12 months have asked them to leave. By definition you have either an evaluation or development problem.

    People can say whatever they want, but ISU had the highest rated recruiting class in its history less than 18 months ago and all but one of them are about to be gone. That is a failure. Either they whiffed on evaluation or they whiffed on development. If this is how it's going to be, why bother...
