I find it odd that those are the 3 Big 12 teams... I like our chances against TT and NU though!
I can't believe how not one 5-star kid has ever thought to go to Iowa State. He would be a freaking hero here. Tim Tebow status everywhere he went. Instead, they choose the Harrison Barnes route and go be another brick in the wall at a big time program.
I know there are tons of benefits of playing at one of those schools, but come on. Look at Mitch Mustain. Do you think everything is working out as planned for him??

Although it is nice to see that Paul Rhoads is trying to lure Top-100 prospects, when you look at this situation, the chances of him landing in Ames are slim and none. A 5-Star player from Florida who lists Florida, Florida State, Miami, Alabama and Tennessee as possibilities will not sign with Iowa State (nor Nebraska or Texas Tech for that matter).

If we can have a decent year (5-6 wins maybe) we could maybe land some of these guys more easily in the future. Like if a recruit from Texas has UT and ISU on his list and sees the heart that this team can have in big games maybe that tips the scale.
