I thought the schedule remained the same but home and aways were flipped? I may be wrong on that.

If that is correct, here it is:

August 31 - vs. Northern Iowa
September 7 - BYE
September 14 - vs. Iowa
September 21 - @ Tulsa
September 28 - @ Texas Tech
October 5 - vs. TCU
October 12 - @ Kansas State
October 19 - vs. Oklahoma State
October 26 - @ Baylor
November 2 - @ Oklahoma
November 9 - vs. Texas
November 16 - vs. Kansas
November 23 - @ West Virginia

The first three games (four weeks) have already been announced.

I think you're correct, barring offseason membership changes. With the GOR, of course, that's not very likely. I think you've got it right.

That is likely, but the Big 12 hasn't released the schedule yet. The "bye" in conference play is not always the same so I think it'll be at least a little different.

I'd really like to get the Texas Tech or TCU games moved up to Sept 7th if possible. I hate the idea of having one game and then a bye.

They aren't really going to keep the exact same order as this year are they? I do like how the season ends though. I would really like to develop a rivalry with WVU.

In the Rhoads era, Iowa State has played 3 games coming off of bye weeks.

2012 - vs. Texas Tech (L)
2011 - vs. Oklahoma State (W)
2011 - vs. Texas (L)

So it could go either way.

I think I remember seeing that when the conference initially went to 10 members and the 9-game schedule was first developed (back when MU and TAMU were still around), they developed a schedule with the intent of keeping it identical and flipping home games every season. I am not sure if that is still what the Big 12 is planning to do now, or not.

I have a feeling that a few games will get moved around for TV purposes either for us or to accomidate another teams TV time slots.

The issue I'd take with that being the truth, is TCU slipped into A&Ms schedule of home and away and WVU became Mizzou. The schedule this year is much different from last year but the reshuffling might just be for WVU and everyone else's benefit.

It'd be nice if we could buy out of the tulsa return and get another home game next year.

Don't expect the order of games to be identical to this season. They had a nightmare to work with TCU and WVU's schedules. They'll have to play around those non-conference slates again as well as accomodate television. Bye weeks are likely to change as well.

Lucky we have a bye week 16 Nov so that we can practice for WVU.

A September BYE week is a complete waste of good football and tailgating weather. We need to take advantage of as many gamedays that we can wear shorts to as possible.

It will be the same teams except UNI instead of Western Ill, just the home and away will be flipped. Also they wont all be the same weeks either... same schedule, just different order, and different turfs.

Pollard should get on the phone and buy out Tulsa. Now if they had beat us and ran the table (they could win in Fayettville) I'd want the return game of course but I see little to gain from going down there.

Lots of very good teams could end up losing a game early in the season @ Tulsa this team is vulnerable in that spot.

I'm not sure we could afford to pay a really crap team like UMass to come to Ames and take a beating with no return game but someone in the Sun Belt would come up for the 500k Tulsa cost and not expect a return game. Tulane would be good or Houston since they are BIg East and will have 5 nc games. It is expensive to get non-return home games against bad teams but the only non Big 12 BCS stadium ISU should ever play in is Kinnick. Period if you have a home and home make them BCS.

Warm weather games for lower ticket prices than Big 12 games are hot items at ISU and will make a lot more money than Tulsa is paying.

Only 6 home games instead of 7 next year is going to suck and is poor scheduling.

I agree with those who want to buy out Tulsa. We need to become a program that plays 7 home games every year. That means that the "extra" non-con game (other than our FCS game and Iowa) always has to be played at home. We'll be stuck with cream puffs, but the Big 12 is tough enough that we shouldn't complain about that.
