Thats pretty decent. Stay away from the 300 RPI teams and we should be fine with the Non-Con. UNI & BYU games will be huge IMO to see what type of team we have. Mich and Iowa will be tough, but hopefully we can muster up some Hilton Magic.

Hoping we can maybe move that BYU game to Salt Lake City

Although on second thought getting a young team a good non-con road test is smart.

Didn't they say they had a surprise team that we would play but never announced who it was. Does anyone else remember this?

Michigan at home should be awesome. Should get a really good turnout for a non-con game, and I'm guessing it has a good chance for a national TV spot as well.

Have they set a date for this game?

My guess is we'll be playing against a new looking michigan team.

This surprise game probably won't be announced until the schedule is released. I've been trying hard to get information out of people but they won't tell me anything.

Hopefully 2/3's of Michigan will enter the draft

I could see Burke and Hardaway going. They'll still be really good though, with Robinson, Stauskas and (especially) McGary back.

I'm looking forward to the renewed battle between Niang and McGary. They are similar "below the rim" type players, who battled at rival prep schools.

not making fun of you but we dont even have any idea what our team will be like next year, we could be good, we could really struggle early on...
So could all of those teams listed. Heck some of those teams didn't even have winning records this year. Why would they not be winnable?

This is good news as I just moved back to Ankeny and have already convinced the wife that I NEED basketball tickets to go along with my football tickets.

Not a bad slate, especially if they play one or 2 of the power 6 conf teams in the tourney. If they split with Iowa/Michigan, and win a game or 2 in the tourney and mop up against the cupcake portion of the schedule, things will be looking pretty decent headed to Big 12 play.
