Bryson is going to go crazy, going to take a lost ball on a drive that landed in the rough and they couldnt find it becasue it plugged.

I know it's the rules, and I don't like Bryson, but that just seems like BS. It wasn't like he shanked it into the woods. He hit it maybe 10 yards left of the fairway. I feel like there should be an exception when you hit it somewhere that it should be findable.

That is how I also feel, that wasnt a lost ball. If my friends and I are playing for money we arent making anyone eat that shot.

DeChambeau is E through 2 rounds. The projected cut line was -1 when he went into the 18th hole, which is where he was when he teed off. He bogied and that bogey brought a lot of other dudes up, moving that project cut line to E. If one guy who is currently E (or worse) with holes to play and finishes -1 (or better), BDeC is out. Jordan Spieth is E and putting for birdie (though no gimme) on 15.

Bryson bogeys the final two holes to possibly miss the cut, although by him dropping, the cut is now at E, so he's likely in at this moment depending on what happens the rest of the morning.

I just like the fact he was humbled by Augusta after being all cocky. There's a lot more to golf than just trying to overpower courses. And I love that they don't give you green books to read at Augusta. Bryson would study those things forever.... which made his play even slower than it already is.

Spieth misses his birdie putt on 15. He has 16 though, which is definitely a birdie opportunity. If he can finish -1 over the next 3 holes, the cut line will move back to -1.

And they just said there are 7 players still on the course at E right now I believe. So if any of them go to -1, I think Bryson is done.

Spieth has an uphill, 6 footer for birdie on 16. I have never rooted so hard for Spieth (haven’t really rooted against him) in his entire career.

And..... Bryson blames his play on Covid. Says he hasn't felt right and so he took a test last night. Whatever.

Looks like he'll make it in.

So what's the chances that he blows this whole thing up if he tests positive? Didn't feel right, but played anyways and exposed people.

Bryson's body language during that post-round interview just looked like excuses/lies. It's just too easy to pick on this guy. Him making the cut could be enjoyable to watch this weekend. Golf is more fun when you have guys to root for and against.

I agree it's good to have a villain. And he'll always be interesting with how far he hits it and his analyzing of the game.

And I love how Brooks Koepka talks about Bryson..... no love lost there. I'm on Brooks' side obviously.
