Just finished up watching the Bahamas bowl and thought I would create a thread about this bowl season. I didn't see a thread set up yet.

Middle Tennessee upset Toledo in the Bahamas bowl. Toledo had success running the ball, but decided they should pass instead with little success.

Cure Bowl coming up next with Northern Illinois and Coastal Carolina.

Let the fun begin! Bowl season is great. One last binge of college football before the long wait for September.

Our coaching staff should be using these small conferences bowl games as a scouting opportunity. Identify the best players and reach out to them with a roster spot and some NIL cash. Each of these teams have a couple guys who can be starters at the power five level.

The coastal guy tackling his own player on the fumble return may cost them the game. Guy had a clear path to get them into FG range on the return. Strange play.

This care bowl has been pretty fun watching tonight. Didn't catch the earlier bowl due to work and needing to hit the store on the way home. :(

Why didn’t Northern Illinois take any end zone shots?
Yep. Really stupid throws/play calls on the those last couple of plays. Especially the last one. The first down does absolutely nothing for you as you were really risking getting one extra down which was still going to be a throw to the end zone. So why not guarantee a shot to the end zone by throwing it there on that 4th down? Just really dumb.

just a mess of an ending

not sure if niu receiver caught it, but if he did, should have been like 4 seconds on the clock (rather than 2)

then clock operator started the clock before the refs even set the ball

After watching it more I don't think the NIU guy caught it and it was 4th Down. Nutty finish.

Yeah they got boned.
Would have liked to see them get 1 more shot.

That was some pretty pathetic tackling by App State there.
