Each year CMC seems to have one or more players go from little known underclassmen to key players/starters. It may be harder for that to happen this year with all the returning depth, but history says it likely will. Who do you expect to be that guy this year?

Lots of talented guys looking to get on the field.

Not an underclassmen, but I'm looking forward to a healthy Milton. He had a solid sophomore season, but I expect him to take it to another level this season and really give us a 1-2 punch with Hutchinson.
Yes, healthy Milton would be great. I also think Daniel Jackson could break out at WR as well.

As far as freshmen goes, I could really see Jaylin Noel and Howard Brown being the big breakout freshman players this year.

Breece Hall says it’s going to be Joe Scates

I’m predicting another big step forward for Isheem Young. Very high ceiling for him. Played very well last year as a freshman but has a lot in his game he can clean up and be a dynamite player here.

I think Zack Peterson will have a big year this year. I think Brock will get more caries and be more of a one two punch. Noel it sounds like has been impressive. Will this be the year Easton dean blows up?

Is there a breece quote out there about scates? Man that would be big if he could breakout this year.

It wii be interesting to see if Tampa can earn a starting CB spot. Super talented guy.

That's the spot I'm most concerned about. No doubts about AJ but that second corner spot has been an issue the past couple seasons. Someone needs to step up and take that role. Would love for it to be Tampa

Yes somewhere. Sorry I don’t have the link. He was asked this exact question and he said Joe Scates. Was pretty emphatic about it too.

edit: not to be a downer but somebody on the team said the same thing last season. They predicted Scates would break out in 2020.

It’s Noel for sure, not even a question.

So the question should be about who will be next after him.

There’s talk of Noel starting from game one. I doubt CMC will start him from game one, but sounds like he’s that good.
