Totally agree. The men’s team is in complete disarray. Did I see correctly that they won’t win a single gold medal? That is insane.
Won in shotput but other than that don't think they will get another Gold.

For 275 lbs, it's amazing how cat quick Steveson is. The Georgia world champ probably thought he had it with only 6.5 seconds left.
Loved the patented back flip after the win.

Steveson is the best wrestler in the world right now. Not in his weight class, but pound for pound. He's really something.

I would give the nod to Taylor. Gable can still do nothing from top. He may be the best on his feet but you have to learn to turn. It almost cost him in the final.

I don't know **** about Olympic wrestling, would Spencer Lee have been a contender for gold if he hadn't gotten hurt?

Agreed. But he doesn’t have to. I’ve never seen anything like the amount of athleticism and quickness he had from his feet.

Not disagreeing, but it's not like David is some dynamo from top in freestyle. Which is funny because of how dominant he was on time in folkstyle. I think he hit a gut or two in his early rounds, but the majority of his freestyle career (this olympics included) is a pace and takedown clinic. That's kind of the US playbook. I think Dake is probably the only one who's got reliable par terre offense.

A quick update. USA's Nelly Korda is poised to take the women's golf gold medal. She's leading the second-place players by 4 strokes (-16) in the final round.

USA is one medal shy of 100.
