Was able to find the Swiderski vs Mendez match at the Rudis event right before NCAAs. Match starts at 3:05.
Man… how fast is this hype train gonna get going for this kid? It can’t hit David-levels but it is flying down the tracks.
I've seen fans from other teams already predicting him to the finals next year. I don't expect that, and an AA year would be tremendous, but 141 does clear out a lot to make it possible for a true freshman to catch fire in March..

With any true frosh, I temper my expectations, but over the past year or two he's been proving time and time again he's the real deal.
Here's hoping he makes the transition to DI wrestling seamlessly.

Hmmm, when was the last time ISU had a wrestler that was a heel picking machine? IIRC he turned out ok.

Correct me where I’m wrong, but wasn’t Mendez #1 P4P when Swiderski first beat him in a tight match late last year. And now Swiderski just slapped him at Rudis?
