Happy for Washington. Seemed really weird how the college football media treated an Oregon win as a foregone conclusion.

I don't think Washington has the players on defense to compete with Georgia but I think they could beat Michigan.

It was downright bizarre how the immediately crowned Oregon as “the better team” immediately after the first loss but also as automatically superior to any other one loss team. Their schedule wasn’t that tough.

The convergence of things required for this is wild, especially knowing how rare it is that top-level programs schedule a non-con game vs. each other. But arguably, Alabama and Texas would own the two best wins of the season in this case - Bama over UGA, and Texas @ Bama. They’d also both have a loss, so then you’d say it needs to be Texas that gets in because they beat Bama. But we know the SEC champ is never getting left out, especially Bama. So yeah.
You mean the committee is going to tweak their criteria in order to get the result they think is best for their most powerful clients? Well I never …

Earlier this week the Hok Team Total score in the first half was over/under 0.5 points.

The Hok bettors have now raised it to 2.5.

Will Hoks Score in the 1st half????

Las Vegas is a better place to go than Arlington for a Championship Weekend Game and Party. Plus, it would be a compromise to keep the BB Tournament(s) in KC.

You could move the fb game once in a while and see what works. If you move the bball for a year and poor attendance just automatically settle back on KC.

Vegas isn’t as dumb as it sounds because if you’re going to fly somewhere it’s possibly easiest/cheapest flight for most.

If FSU or Michigan lose and Texas and Alabama win, BOTH Texas and Alabama should land in the CFB Playoff. The funny thing is so many people are worried about Alabama getting in, but they have the hardest obstacle to getting in by beating two-time defending National Champion Georgia on a 29 game winning streak @ Atlanta, GA. My guess is that Alabama would have a better chance to win vs. any of the other contenders' opponent. Let's see, Alabama vs. Iowa (B1G) or Alabama vs. Louisville (ACC) or Alabama vs. Oklahoma State (Big Xii) OR Alabama vs. Georgia (SEC). One of those games is not like the others. Not going to matter though, as Alabama is not going to win tomorrow.

Hey look guys it’s George!!! Lol!! Thought he went into a hole and would never be seen again.
Gotta love the hate for George. Should be reserved for Larry Scott and the Utah president. At the end of the day, the commissioner can only do what the member schools will support. Their membership was clearly pulling in different directions. Part of the reason Yormark is finding success now is because the institutions left in the B12 are pretty much in lockstep. No way he’d be able to do as much as he has with Texas still calling the shots.

I don’t think they’ll leave FSU out (and they shouldn’t) if the Noles win. A Bama and Texas win would be a Twitter war between Bama, Texas, and Georgia (and maybe OSU ) fans. But you’d have to send Texas with the head to head win I’d think.
Washington 13-0: In

Michigan 13-0: In

FSU 13-0
Alabama 12-1
Georgia 12-1
Texas 12-1

Who should be in? FSU and Texas.

Who will be in? /shrug/

I seriously do not think the committee would tell a 13-0 P5 champion that they’re not good enough; but I also don’t think they’d have the cojones to tell the SEC their 12-1 champion isn’t getting in, but if Bama is in it becomes untenable to leave Texas out, but how can you ignore the defending 2-time champion Georgia that’s only lost one game out of their last 30, and that one to the SEC champion (so it’s the best of good losses, probably a better loss than Texas’ win over Bama is a win, you know it really doesn’t count as a loss at all let’s just say Georgia is 13-0), and heck maybe we’ll reconsider this Washington thing too and just go with Michigan/Ohio State/Bama/Georgia like God always intended …

The Big Xii Basketball Tournament(s) should stay in KC forever, as far as I am concerned. That's what makes football to Las Vegas a fair compromise. Man, I'd much rather go see Iowa State play for the Big Xii Football Championship @ Las Vegas than @ Arlington.

That was a thoroughly entertaining football game.

No one should quickly forget the master move Yormark made to move the Big 12 negotiations ahead of the PAC. PAC was a long-standing, proud conference with several heavyweight schools that just got laid to rest.

Did it with style. Nice work UW.

In your scenario, Texas should be the 4th team, Alabama # 5 and Georgia #6.

Let the chaos reign tomorrow. UW is in. Have UM blow the hokroaches off the field 42-3.

Though we all hate UT, have them look impressive over OSU.

FSU in a sloppy game against Louisville. Is it true they are down to 3rd string QB?

If Bama beats UGA, CFP committee will be crapping bricks. Could they possibly deny a 13-0 FSU?

And if not, is it 12-1 conference champ UT over 12-1 conference champ Bama? You would have to think so.

Dream scenario is SEC gets shut out and CFP chair says, “Welp, you only play 8 conference games, sorry.”

Hopefully we'll see Saban at halftime of the B1G title game again campaigning for Bama.

They also smashed west va who is 4th in the Big12.
West Virginia is a paper tiger. Their Big 12 record is very misleading. They only played 2 of the top 6 teams in the conference and lost big to both - OU and OSU. They skipped Texas, ISU, KState and Kansas. West Virginia was the 7th best team in the Big 12 with a pretty big gap between them and the 6 teams ahead of them.
