Another multiple record event -- 2A Girls SHR.

Sioux Central and Ridge View both break the mark from 2011.

Half of the 1A Boys 100m final broke last year's record.

All 8 ran sub-11.

Sprinters getting it done today. Another state record in the 100 -- this time, 3A boys.

Always more fun when the team championships come down to the last two races.

Not exactly sure.
It only makes some sense because the sprint medley is such a new event.

State track is the best "state" event and I'm not sure it's close. The UNI Dome for football is neat but state track takes it to a whole new level especially since they consolidated everything and you don't have to walk a half mile for the throwing events. I think my freshman year was the last time it was a split meet (2004) and whoever made the call on co-ed absolutely nailed it.
Lol, apparently never been to state wrestling, let alone when it was in the barn. That was the pinnacle of state stuff. Watching a good friend in the semis while almost being able to touch him since my toes are touching the mat, is way more intense that anything I’ve been around for track. Track would be second.

Heck of a finish in the 1A girls 1500.

Steines from Calamus-Wheatland in 4:35.43
Huck from Nashua-Plainfield in 4:35.44

Both below the old state meet record (4:35.87) set in 2014.

Noe of Ballard crushed the 3A state meet record in the 1500 by over 8 seconds. Only 2 seconds and change off of Shelby Houlihan's all-time mark.
