Sadowsky was the only real surprise for me.That was shocking.
Sadowsky and Joey Petersen demoted too.

Sadowsky wasn't very good last year so this isn't terrible news. Lets see what Ebel has.We know over the years that Campbell and staff don’t care about the depth chart. With that said, Ebel (without an or) over Sadowski is surprising, but a great sign that he completely overtook the position. Ben Ngoyi has been the hot name from coaches since spring ball. Him being listed as the third receiver tells me he’s going to be a big time player this season. The wide receiver position is absolutely loaded right now.
Last W&B pod, Blum hinted about guys on the OL being dinged up. Nothing season-ending, but some issues. Is Travis injured? I was under the impression that Neal was going to be at LG. That would be the only reasonable explanation for him to be listed as an OR with Neal.
I’m nervous here. Am I blind? I don’t see the LSU transfer listed at either CB spot.Defensively-
- Feel real good about the DL. 3 guys that could be all-conf level, plus some good depth, basically 5 quality starters.
- Feel real good about the secondary. 3 stud safeties, and (imho) 3 real good corners plus the LSU transfer.
- Worried about LB. Bacon was good last year. But a lot of younger guys, and the ones that played last year were shaky. If that young group steps up their level of play - watch TF out for this defense. If not, well, they're gonna get picked on and it will be hit or miss depending on the opponents weapons and OC. I will say, Heacock has been something of a linebacker whisperer, so let's be optimistic.
This is just a week 1 depth chart. We will see Robinson at corner. At least 1 true freshman will see some action as well during the season. I have high expectations for David Coffey down the road and I think he will get some PT as the year goes along.I’m nervous here. Am I blind? I don’t see the LSU transfer listed at either CB spot.
The backups for Williams at CB are a JUCO with one offer and a walk-on special teamer
I put Khijohnn Cummings-Coleman on a level with Coffey. And Quentin Taylorvhas one heck of a bloodline, he’s just a baller. This is just a week 1 depth chart. We will see Robinson at corner. Well, we have an airport now. That certainly isn't your paul rhoads offensive line.
Agreed. I think Taylor is injured but nothing serious from what I heard. He was around for spring ball so he has a jump on the competition. I like Cummings-Coleman. He and Coffey could be an excellent duo down the road. I'm surprised Mason DouBrava cracked the depth chart. His dad was a great DB in the 90s.I put Khijohnn Cummings-Coleman on a level with Coffey. I’ll be honest. This newcomer group is a great bunch. Bess too. Of the five, Robinson was #5 to me. “LSU” does not automatically mean “great”. Reminds me of a bit Purchase, which is just fine.
Honestly I think the LBs will be fine. Last year they were pretty inexperienced with Bacon, Ebel and Sadowsky seeing their first college action. They got a year under their belt now, plus McLaughlin is an upperclassman now, Ellis returns from injury, and Lovett looked pretty good as a 2nd stringer last year.Defensively-

If you think CMC is puts little to no effort in any aspect of being the HC of ISU, then you don't know Matt Campbell. Stubborn? Maybe. Lazy? No.My biggest takeaway is that I am impressed by how many people don’t understand the “or”.
We know CMC puts little or no effort into the depth chart, but it is fun to see it because it means football season is here.
I think Neal will move to LG when Travis is healthy, which should be sooner than later. Is Travis injured? I was under the impression that Neal was going to be at LG. That would be the only reasonable explanation for him to be listed as an OR with Neal.
I didn’t think the HC was the one who put out the depth chart, or do they put out the first one? Normally they are listed as “unofficial depth chart” because some media staffer puts out their educated guess for the fans.If you think CMC is puts little to no effort in any aspect of being the HC of ISU, then you don't know Matt Campbell. I would've been concerned if he hadn't been passed upSadowsky was the only real surprise for me.
