I wish there were a world where we could see what a sickle cell-free Panior looks like.

He clearly shows up, works hard, and has the physical gifts and mindset to make it to the top, but the physical and mental block clearly holds him back at times.

I don't know what goes on in his head and body, but I would have a hard time opening up in matches, knowing my energy could tank at any moment. See his dual match with Realbuto last season.

Matscout Willie put out his post-portal Chrystal Ball. He has ISU at 6 behind PSU, Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio St & Ok St.
Individual projections for ISU
Stevo - 8th
Evan - 8th
Jacob - 5th
Paniro or Ech - 7th
Zerbin - BR
165 - None
174 - None!
Isaac - R16
Rocky - 3rd
Yonger - 1st!

Overall, I'd say we're not overrated here. You could debate Heavyweight of course, but I think we have a lot of upside here. I'll be really surprised if MJ doesn't at least make the blood round again. I'm ready to go!

I seriously think we have a team that could place top 4.

What am I missing about Iowa? Will this not be their weakest line up in what? 4,5 years? I assume Ferrari, Caliendo and Keuter are to score a bunch of points...who else?

Ayala. Kennedy. Maybe Peterson and Bailey.

We can beat them but they’re going to be fine.

They still have Ayala who is a returning finalist, Bailey at 141 or 133 (whatever he and Drake decide) is a former AA, Petersen had some good wins last year and is an AA contender, and PK is a returning AA

Two returning finalists and 3 other AAs in the lineup. Then probably the top freshman in the country (although and argument could be made for Blaze).

They’re not a title contending team, but they’re going to be very good.

125: Dean Peterson (could finally break through and be an AA)
133: Ayala will likely get another AA
141: Nassir Bailey wrestled injured last year but was an AA the year prior
149: Jordan Williams bloodround last year
157: Victor Voinovich or Miguel Estrada (NQ level)
165: Mikey Caliendo is again the second best in the weight
174: Patrick Kennedy scores points and placed 4th last year
184: Ferrari could even win the title as a freshman
197: Endene probably a NQ, but not sure how much more than that
285: Kueter placed 8th as a freshman

Someone told me that Keuter had hip surgery and was not playing FB and maybe wouldn't be healthy to wrestle. Has anyone else heard that?

He did have hip surgery and is missing football season next year. Supposedly will be ready by wrestling season, but hips can be tricky to recover from

I stand corrected. I forgot about Ayala. As much as I follow wrestling, I refuse to follow them or keep close tabs...and I just always assume they'll wrestle below expectations in March because TnT will over train them.

I think Iowa big question mark is bailey at 141 he could be amazing or he could really struggle at a new weight. kueters hip should be fine but its going to hamper his ability to gain good weight throughout the offseason. peterson is very up and down but his best puts him at AA pretty easy. we both have crazy good teams on paper this year

I'd say 149 is somewhat of a question mark depending on whether Williams is admitted or not and 157 will also be a question mark with Estrada or Voinovich.

Im just assuming they will let williams in. but yeah 157 is their weakest weight. i just figured at 141 bailey could end up not giving them nearly what they expect from him
