I think Jerome Tang might be reason #1 why I'm in favor of NIL and players getting all they can, while they can.

Tang inherits Marquis Nowell (recruited/signed by Bruce Weber) and takes a risk on Johnson with the heart issue - and manages to luck into the elite 8, and gets rewarded with a 7 yr contract extension.

Nowell and Johnson are now minor league pros playing for peanuts, and Tang cashes in on $25 million.

And if someone is dumb enough to pay coleman hawkins $2.5 million - congrats to him, way to go kid, take advantage of these idiot boosters!

You hate to see it.

Eight points on 3-10 / 0-4 / 2-2 shooting by their $2,000,000-man Coleman Hawkins.
I think Joshua Jefferson puts up similar numbers to Hawkins this year, on about 1/15th of his NIL salary.

WVU @ Pitt ESPN+ at 7pm. We will see if WVU is a top 100 team or not. I like the Devries hire, and theoretically in the NIL era you shouldnt need time to build a team.

He did sign two 4 star high school kids, WVU's 1st 4 star in over 3 years.

Pitt's coach said WVU has been soft since huggins left, so that should motivate the WVU players.

Iowa is a 4.5 point favorite over Washington State. Will be interesting to see how it turns out.
