We're totally going to get shafted out of a 3 seed aren't we? I can already see the committee ignoring our injuries and the fact Wisconsin was blown out by Penn St at home not even a week ago.
I have a hard time saying we're getting shafted out of it. Our injuries aren't in our past. It's a part of who we are right now, and teams with similar records and resumes are healthy and stacking good wins while we're at home. We're a ~.500 team the last month. Our metrics are still very good but it all matters.

I don't like it, but I can see it.

Anyone on here watch Maryland much this year? I haven't watched them until this weekend and have no idea what to do with them when brackets come out.
I've watched them a little lately. Not very deep but salty. That Queen kid is a beast. Peaking at the right time.

Edit...Stone was a few years ago. Mixed him up with Queen.

They have a good guard and their bigs are automatic double-doubles…unless a team has comparable size. That’s why you’re seeing the team struggle with Michigan

We'll see what happens, I understand it's very possible that we get screwed and end up a 4.

The problem is you just have recency bias since you've been watching these stupid conference tournaments. We just stacked 3 Q1 wins in the last 14 days but Wisconsin has only 2 and all anyone pays attention to is their performance so far in the Big 10 tourney.

We also just won a tough road game in Manhattan a week ago and on the same day Wisconsin got blown out by a 16-15 team at home.

Very similar thing with Arizona, they hadn't even won a Q1 game since mid-February and now everyone thinks they are ahead of us becuase of 2 wins in KC.

And this is why the quadrants are so stupid. Both of those are terrible losses. You can't say with a straight face that Penn St is any better than Kansas St.
No one is saying that but it’s been brought up multiple times how bad that is Wisconsin’s resume but we have 2 losses just as bad or worse.

You said 2 hours ago that the quadrants were stupid and now you’ve used them to justify an entire post.

So which one is it?

Go look at Wisconsin's schedule though. They beat up on all the bottom feeders and NIT teams in the Big 10.

Until yesterday they had only beaten 3 NCAA tournament teams the entire year.

We should absolutely be ahead of them.

I work at UMD. The team has a lot of talent. They remind me a bit of a Fred team. Tons of talent, can beat anyone when the shots are falling. They have great defensive metrics but they don't pass the "eye test" on defense for me.

Queen is a stud, 30 years ago he'd probably be the #1 pick in the draft.

Was just thinking the same thing about Queen.

30 years ago a top pick. Now? Idk hes crafty but he looks slow.

They are when you start trying to compare which loss is worse between Kansas St and Penn St. We have that terrible Q3 looking loss and they only have a Q2 when we all know teams ranked around 60-70 are bad teams.

I do not understand why Chris and Chris say these conf tourneys don't matter. Lots of intense games and you can tell these guys want it bad. I get that the big tourney is most important but winning a tournament and getting hardware is still a great accomplishment.
Anyone who says they don’t matter is playing the fool. These teams are all playing their hearts out. It’s great basketball.
