Listening to Stories of a Stranger album this morning and going down a memory rabbit hole. Tell your brother l am fairly certain one time I got about as high as I’ve ever been with him. Like completely transported into an alternate reality or universe high.Could have been either of us. Just showed my brother this post and he blushed heavily.
That’s a hell of collection of bands on some of those days. Random and kind of cool at the same time.
I don’t care about FOB that much but Weezer and OAR have my attention. I LOVE OAR old stuff. Not so sure now that I think about it that I didn’t smoke a few bowls with @Al_4_State (or atleast his brother) back in the day listening to OAR.
"When you see my face, hope it gives you hell, hope it gives you hell" had never rung more true. That’s a hell of collection of bands on some of those days. Random and kind of cool at the same time.
The red clay straights are underrated. Also, I’ve seen All American Rejects live about 8 years ago. You look at them now and you wonder how those dudes are still alive. They look like hell.

Funny. I was that high with him and our cousin Nick (who you probably knew of - he was infamous in his day) when OAR toured that album at CY Stephen’s. Farmageddon was earlier that day and we obliterated them, prompting Snyder’s first retirement.Listening to Stories of a Stranger album this morning and going down a memory rabbit hole. One of my greatest Ames days.
Beck, Gary Clark Jr., AND BoyzIIMen all on one card!?
He still puts on a good show.
I’ve not been, but I’ve heard his shows are absolutely phenomenal. My wife just scored Sturgill Simpson tickets in Kansas City for May 3rd. Beyond excited to see this show.
