big time, dominating win for Coby Merrill. What a huge pick up for the Cyclones. I'm glad we haven't completely gone away from getting these excellent high school kids and only bringing in transfers.

Merrill wins 8-0 after 4 push outs and a takedown

Merrill is going to be such a beast
Merrill has given Ross a couple of very close matches this summer, including one that Ross won 2-2 on criteria. I hope we see that finals match, because I think Merrill can get him. Losing out on Ross as a recruit hurt, but I am very happy with landing Merrill (and think he could ultimately be a better college wrestler if Ross's shoulder doesn't hold up)
Every heavyweight in Iowa is hoping dresser doesn’t pull a fast one and move him to Iowa quick before school starts. Imagine having to wrestle Ross and/or Merrill.
