Am I missing something with his appeal? He is 168-148 in ten years at ASU and just moved to a tougher conference where he got destroyed. He hasn't done anything in the tournament ever. Wasn't his team a hot mess with headbutting and wanting to fight people? How exactly does he recruit when he is on the final year of his contract with no future. I would assume he reaches a lot on one year rentals.
The only thing I can think of is serious commitment from major donors to legitimize the talent. James Harden recently came out and said he’d be throwing money in. And it’s one of the wealthier fan bases

He was, but I would think that that kind of run would buy him some more time. Seems a little rushed, IMO.
Hard for a program to recover after a bad season. Not quite Prohm bad, but Keats was given enough time to build a consistent NCAA Tournament program.

It could also be driven by the ACC's new revenue sharing model and possible realignment in early 2030's.

He would've already been fired if his name wasn't Bobby Hurley.
And ASU is in a major fiscal deficit (bailed out by money from the university) and so therefore they probably don’t want to make a change and have to pay a buyout to get a decent coach out of his current contract

Niko Medved would crawl to Minneapolis from Fort Collins for that job so naturally it'll be an NBA assistant or failed head coach that's never recruited or been involved in the college game.

I'm not that concerned with Devries leaving. I get he doesnt have the best roster, but he has some ugly losses.

Some of the more "insider" posters say the loss to colo. is a direct result of a lack of funding. Apparently, Devries told WVU he needed an additional 500k NIL to get a legit big man, and was told no.

MN Coaching Replacement candidates

This is a perfect example of why these articles are click bait. Ben Johnson was just fired and hours later publications are writing about coaching candidates. The authors of these articles have no clue who the AD is actively pursuing at this time... the position has literally been open for a couple hours! Rather these authors simply want people to read their article.. it's pure click bait

Just keep that in mind next time TJ is mentioned in one of these articles
