I have 5:
1. When my ISU acceptance letter arrived in the fall of 1996
2. When I got married in the fall of 2006
3. When my oldest daughter was born in early 2009
4. When we moved to metro Detroit in the summer of 2011
5. When my youngest daughter was born in spring 2016
Hmm. Outside of 3 and 4, I seem to have life-changing events every 10 years or so.

A mooning I received at a house party on Lincoln Way. That eventually became my wife's rear end.
Was the mooner an organ donor of sorts?
One night in the winter of 1978 my parents got together and made me. Pretty eventful night for the ole Hiphopp
HS was easy - average grades with no effort. Went to ISU and promptly flunked out. No discipline, no study skills, lost confidence. Joined USAF out of the blue and became a new person. Saved my life and changed my life. Aim high.
Getting fired from my second executive director job after blowing up at a board member in rural northern Iowa.
1) My wife and I still got married 6 months later so even at my stupidest she still stuck with me.
2) It forced me away from small non profits where monthly we talked about light bills to a large corporate non profit where I've been able to move up about every 2 years to a now significant program as a director over a program spanning 8 states and 28 staff members.
3) It got me out of Iowa and its safe feeling and have now worked in 5 different states and 2 different countries.

The day I won the pinewood derby. Ever since that day, it's been nothing but success.
Retirement! Hip Hip Hurray!!! Last Day 11/18/10. Except went in to officially sign out on 2/2/11.
No alarm clocks, no bosses (kinda), Florida beach all winter. Life is GOOD!
