You're right, this p*ssing contest has gotten boring for everyone else, so I will check out.

I will also try to remember that the Chiefs thread on the CycloneFanatic message board is for Chief worshipers only rather than all Cyclone fans.

Disagree. I LOVE a good pissing match. Very entertaining.

Mahomes just had one interception negated by a penelty and another pass almost got intercepted. That’s right, these only count against Purdy.

They only count almost interceptions and almost bad plays for Purdy. Even if it's not a bad play. Nobody else has that category or is held to that standard.

Don’t playoff games count? Or is it just conference championship games. Goalposts seem to move for him.

He already won lots of big games. Regular season and playoffs. He never lost so far in games he didn't tear his elbow. He was just a rookie last year. So it takes time. He has 2 playoff wins already. That's the same as Dak Prescott. He's been playing for years and years and years. Purdy is a 2nd year player with as many wins. Think of that. It's unreal.

It's just for clicks, but we can say it again. Take away all of the weapons like he says from any QB and they aren't going to be successful. It is a dumb take. No QB has been elite without weapons around him.

Every good QB in NFL history has a lot of players around him. Irvin and Sherman say the opposite exactly. It's Purdy. On these shows usually they just have guys take both sides. Because they have to make an argument for the show. You have to be careful with these shows. Most coaches and players and former players say he's doing great.

I just wish people would stop talking about him in hyperbole on either end. When he loses that first or actually becomes a human QB it will be endless "I told you he sucked" takes from the loudmouth media. He's a really good QB in a great system with great players. Nothing more, nothing less. Who cares what he would look like in some other system. He's a winner who's winning and he's a proud ISU alum.

It's a lot of him too. If it was so easy why can't all the other long list of guys they had do it? For 20+ years they haven't had a QB as good as Purdy. Not everyone can do it. It's not just all system or good players. Every good QB has players around him. Why do they always just use that excuse for Purdy only? Tua has everyone on the team who can run a 4.2. He has the Olympic track team out there. That doesn't help him somehow? Of course it does. Burrow has great weapons on the outside. Those WR's are outstanding. Good teams have good players that help you. Is that some big surprise? That's sports. Aikman had Irvin, Harper, Smith, a brick wall huge offensive line. He didn't do it alone. None of them do. Not one ever. Montana had Rice, Taylor, Brent Jones, Rodger Craig. A great offensive line and one of the best coaches ever. None of them do it alone. Jordan had Pippen, Rodman and Coach Phil Jackson. He didn't win alone either. It's a myth.

Who cares? Does it change reality?

Elite QBs can hide some bad talent. I always thought the Patriots were all Belichek, starting to look like Brady propped that system up when they were lacking talent. Brady also looked extremely efficient when he had talent around him.
Brock currently has a ton of talent around him and is off the charts with efficiency. He's played in games without Debo. He had a game without Aiyuk. There have been games where CMC hasn't played to his usual standard. Brock has still been outstanding. I firmly believe he will be fine in a few years when they need to pay him and they lose some of that great talent around him.
He is a great leader and a natural winner. His fast processing speed, football IQ, and anticipation set him apart from the large QBs with cannon arms that never figure it out. Zero doubt at this point he has a long career barring injury in the NFL.
He is the greatest cyclone QB all time by any metric (Wins, Stats, NFL career). I sure am heck am enjoying every second of watching him excel! Love that ISU gets brought up every time they talk about him. His parent's business still flies the Iowa State flag.

The only NFL player that I've ever felt to have held up a team seemingly on his own (without any other star power) was Barry Sanders. Everyone else that had elite success had at least some elite talent around them.
As a Lions fan due to Barry, as good as he was, that team was in its best years just above average. Only one man can do so much.

49ers did a 20 minute interview with Brock. A little insight into his life. Honestly I didn't find it terribly compelling but there are a few interesting stories. Brock as always is a pretty chill and humble dude. The Drake game comes up.
