If we somehow pull off keeping Royce and signing Pelle, I invision something similar to Draymond Green and his oops to the Michigan State centers. :jiggy:

If you look at it man by man, there certainly won't be any drop off in scoring and probably an increase.

Any drop in scoring from Scotty to Lucious will be made up by assists and driving/dishing. Not to mention we'll probably score 10 pts more/game just off the break with Lucious.

Royce can probably be more aggressive with a 7 ft outlet like Pelle. Not to mention he won't have to expend as much energy running the point.

Clyburn > Allen

Babb = Babb, although I wouldn't be surprised to see him grow as a senior and be a bigger influence on O.

could be. I just think its a clear sign we take Royce or someone else. not both.

Agreed. Long's scholly is probably coming from one of the players who get the end of the game minutes transferring and the 5th will depend on what Royce does.

Hopefully the NCAA will say "We love Iowa State, you guys get 2 extra scholarships this year!!!" :jimlad:

It's gotta be Pelle. Still happy with this year, but look at next years lineup if Pelle comes (though it's still solid without him)Lucious - great ball handler, passer, and finisherBabb - lockdown defenderClyburn - One of the top shooters in the nation and able to make the play as wellWhite - Duh, everything.Pelle - Anything down low he will make or block

There's no way Ejim doesn't start next year. A freshman, even at 7ft would not change that.

Yeah, Ejim does way too much on both sides of the ball to keep him out of the starting lineup, and he'll only be better next year.

I would agree that it's not a foregone conclusion by any means but he's certainly not so good that he's irreplaceable. He's solid but really an overachiever based on his position. From the videos that I saw of Pelle, he could very well unseat Ejim by the midway point if not sooner.

Let me add that a 7 ft C and Ejim could easily coexist because if we're trying to run and play small, Ejim is in there and if we're trying to play big and solid post D, you have a 7 ft center. 7 footers usually aren't ready to play much more than 20 min/game their first year anyway.

The odd men out in that scenario would be Booker and Railey, IMO.

I watched the videos too. Pelle looks very talented, but we're comparing HS highlights to a guy is close to a regular double double guy in the Big XII.

I would also disagree that Ejim can be replaced. He is too valuable to be that easily dismissed.

yeah but he should have came out next year. he got an extra year at prep school so when he gets to college he would Pretty much be a RS freshman or sophomore in terms of experience. And sry to say this cuz I love ejim, BUT pelle is a athletic, 7 foot defensive force In the middle. At some point he would take over the center spot. Ejim is a undersized 4. But ejim would still get over 20 mins a game anyway and i think he would be even better off the bench.
