He messed up the ISU - Missouri game. Its played in Ames and I see that as definitely winnable. If we go into the end of the season with some fire or Missouri is either deflated or just trying to cruise into their bowl game then I see it as VERY winnable.

2-10 is a little extreme but I could see it happening with some significant injuries.

With both of those records we need some extreme breaks and bounces.

I think we can win this as well, but our offense will have to do good. Mizzou's offense will go up and down the field on our defense next year

i will be much more surprised by a 2 win season than 8. And I will be much more sad, angry, dissappointed, depressed, confused, and upset.

I think the bell shaped curve of wins has 5.5 at the top with 7-8 possible with a bowl win.

I'm the exact opposite. I would be much more surprised by an 8 win season.

I'd be equally surprised. To go 2-10 we'd likely have be winless in the Big 12. This is after winning 3 games, and being extremely close to winning 2 more. Honestly, we have enough talent that if our coaches are halfway as good as many on this board think, 2 wins would be ******* pathetic. I'm not saying it isn't possible, because it definitely is. I'm saying it would be pathetic. If A-Rob, AA and KO all went down, I could accept that record, but that's about what it would take.

To go 8-4 we'd have to beat one of OU, UT, NU, Iowa, and Utah, and beat everyone else. This is borderline impossible. That said, at this time last year I would have said that 7 wins was borderline impossible.

I think we should be right at 6 wins, with 5 more likely than 7. I'll be fine with 5 wins, with a healthy roster. All in all, 8-4 and 2-10 are probably good bench marks for best and worst case scenarios. We need an equal amount of luck in both the good and bad categories to achieve those respective records.

You're pretty close to where I'm at. I think six wins is the mark this year that we all can be happy about. Five wins, especially if we either pull a big upset or suffer through a ton of injuries, can still provide some hope for the future. Four wins or less, and we better hope coach Hoiberg wins the Big 12 this year. On the otherhand if we win seven games or more, it would be impossible not to believe that we're on the cusp of some things that have never been done at ISU as far as consistency goes. Seven wins this fall gets us through next year no matter how ugly it might get. Obviously, I'm excited as hell for camp to even start, but I also have that nervous feeling of what if last year we really did get every break in the book? We'll see.

we didnt get every break in the book last year. Replay either the KSU or KU game to see that we left several breaks in KC and Lawrence.

Our defense, aside from creating turnovers, was nearly the worst in the conference. That scares the ever-loving crap out of me.

Every break we did not get with KU and KSU we got back against Nebraska.

Of course things don't actually work that way but to say we didn't get every break in the book without mentioning the stars aligning in Lincoln where we did get every break is not right.
