Come out and tailgate with the Coaches inside Jack Trice in the North End Zone on Friday June 9th!
Kids are welcome & get to play football, kickball, etc on the field while the adults socialize and judge the Coaches grilling skills (with help from local restaurants). Food & drink is included....you won't leave hungry, thirsty, or not having a great time!

Beer is free and they have mixed drinks on a cash bar. It's a really great experience and an opportunity to interact with the coaches that many do not ever get. Always have great items on the silent and live auction as well.

Does the Coaches' Cookoff have such tradition that the coaches need to be associated with a sponsor who is actually doing the cooking? Seemed more like a Sponsors' Cookoff last year.

Each coach determines their own involvement with the restaurant. Each coach does work with their assigned restaurant prior to the event to make sure they are on the same page.

Also, there is a trophy that gets passed around each year to the winner & there are major bragging rights within the staff :)

Yeah, it seemed like the coaches took the competition very seriously and the winner gloated quite a bit. Still, it was quite different than previously when the coaches actually grilled.

My edubkated guess is that they like to talk to the fans more than burn their eye brows over the grill.

You are correct. I went last year and got a chance to visit with CMC for a few minutes. Also chatted it up with Coach Golesh. What a great time. Can't go this year, but would highly recommend this event to anyone who can get over to the Jack. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic event! If you like food, beer and great access to coaches you should go. Very kid friendly. My grandkids had a blast running all over the football field.

Although on-line registration has been closed, you can still walk-up & pay at the registration table. The weather looks nice & sunny for this outdoor event inside Jack Trice!
