If in fact we're going with Harbaugh, don't be surprised if that interview and possible announcement is delayed now with the passing of Bo.

i don't know about that. I realize the connection with Harbaugh, but i don't think it will slow down the process.

I'm only assuming because of the connection between them. Would think he could be heading in the direction of Bo's family and/or former Michigan players.

Makes sense... though were they going to announce this before the end of the season anyway? I mean, next week if they've already made a decision, because the season will be over, and a couple days will have passed since the death of Bo, wouldn't they announce it then?

Well with the rumors floating around that things are happening in Dallas, if he's in Dallas and hasn't met with JP yet.....

I don't think there will be an announcement no matter what until after tomorrow's game. Tomorrow the focus should be on McCarney, not a new coach.

Nobody in the program wants to see a new name until tomorrow is over and done with. We will have a great lovefest with DMac and give the thanks that he should get for all he gave. I would think next week at the earliest but the holiday may delay that.

Monday we can announce after McC has his last game. Yet the funeral is probably Monday, so that would be tacky. So make it a week from Monday.

PREDICTION: ISU 28, Missouri 21. Koch with the winning score in last two minutes.

AS it turned out. 21-16 with Koch banging away will do quite well.

If We're Sitting Here on Dec. 1 Without a Coach- there is a Delay

There is no delay in hiring a coach.

The only reason Harbaugh & Norvell met with Pollard yesterday was their teams are off this weekend. Other coaches that Pollard is interested in most likely have games this weekend & would not want the distraction of an interview during their game week preparation.

My bet is JP will meet with a few other candidates on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. Probably ID a leading candidate and bring him on campus either next weekend (if his team's season is done) or around Nov. 26/27 if his team has a game next weekend.

It wouldn't surprise me if JP would name a coach early next week, but I think the odds are better that is the last few days of November.
