Will more than likely be attending Ellsworth Community College per Iowa Central coach. Good thing to bring him to the state of Iowa.

I know a family well who has a parent on staff. I attend the same school as them and asked him to talk to his dad about the player and he said he knows he a stud, but he is most likely going to Ellsworth.

This is a great thing! Keep him hidden and grab him in a couple years if we want

no doubt this is great news. let's hope he does well in JC but doesn't blow up big enough to go elsewhere or that he's loyal to ISU after he does blow up.

remember when james carpenter was going to sign with us, then had to go juco and blew up then subsequently blew us off.

lose lose. he goes juco and blows up, he will listen to others. he goes juco and sucks it up, no one will want him.

James Carpenter didn't go to Juco in Iowa. That's a pretty huge difference. There are LOTS of better Jucos a kid could go to, to get noticed. Seems like he is coming to Ellsworth to be close to our program.

Also, wasn't James recruited by Cheese and then Paul? Two different coaching staffs doesn't help.

And it's tough to pass up a chance to play at Alabama. It just is.

As I remember the situation, Chizik was out of the running for Carpenter the 2nd time around long before he became "firmly entrenched".
