I've been getting an annoying Lasik ad that plays automatically on the side of my screen without a mute button on it. Is there any way to fix this?

Install Adblock software. I had the exact same problem.

Movie trailers suddenly blaring out of my office when I had a CF tab open in the background.

Chris is on it though. That's what I was told anyway.

Adblock...

I'v been having the same problem for about the last week or so. Mine is usually Home Depot ads, and one I scroll my mouse over them the sound goes off.

Still incredibly annoying since I usually open threads in new tabs and get a bunch playing at once.

Spotify is a music service. And why do you care if I surf the net while at work, my employer doesn't, in fact they encourage it.

I'm on this. We can't really control it. Any ads with sound come through third-party ads (which fund the site). If you use ad-blocker, you're really hurting CF (not saying don't use it, just know that in advance). Any time that I see an ad with sound, I immediately report it to the company it is coming from.
