Morris has to be first team. He gets so much recognition nationally, probably more than Staten or Mason. His numbers are better and he proved his assist to turnover ratio last year obviously wasn't just a product of being the team's third ball handler.

12th in scoring, 2nd in FG%, 1st in assists, 1st in A/TO ratio, and 3rd in steals. The only category that either Mason or Staten is ahead of Monte is scoring, where Staten is 8th and Mason is 10th. Staten is averaging 1.2 PPG more than Monte and Mason is averaging half a point more than Monte. The only way Monte isn't first team ahead of those guys is if the voters think an extra 1.2 or .5 PPG is more important than literally every other statistical category.

Playing the victim card comes way too easy for some of you. ISU had two players on the first team last year while finishing three games behind the conference champ.

To be fair, both of those players were All-Americans so it would be pretty tough to leave them off.

I imagine KU will get Ellis and maybe Mason on first team. Morris will probably be third team. McKay will be at best HM.

I can't see McKay making the first team list. Could make 2nd or 3rd team.

For one Niang will make the first team. He is the player that the media talks about, and the coaches talk about for ISU. His numbers dont tell the whole story. Numbers will be down, if every team game plans for him. As for Morris, he has been the most steady PG in the league.

Anyone want to take a stab at who may be All conference? We probably have three candidates with Monte, Georges and Jameel.

I'd guess it will look something like this:

Gathers
Niang
Hield
Forte
Morris

I could also see Ellis, McKay and maybe Nash also being considered.

Staten (should be Morris)
Hield
Niang
Ellis
Gathers
