There is talk in the comments section about self defense from the gunman which completely contradicts the article. Do you have any information on that?

This seems like a completely irrational behavior for anyone if the article is true.

Why is the guy out on bond? You tried to kill someone, you should be in jail till the trial.

Anyone who actually writes in those comments has a better than average chance of being a complete moron, take it with a grain of salt.

Sounds like the original report said there was a dispute on public behavior in the restaurant.....

This is surreal to me because I live a mile from there and I would never ever think of that intersection or area of town as a place where something like this could happen.

I saw comments about acting like a fool in the restaurant. Since when is that grounds to shoot someone?

That was the initial report. I haven't seen anything since then that would indicate something different.
Apparently, the teens tried to leave, and he followed them to their car with the gun.

This came out the day or so after the shooting, if anyone is inclined that way:

Still no reason to get shot... But an argument over pickles with employees? Know this kid based on who he hangs out with. Not a very "well behaved" group of kids he associates with.

Yeah thanks for your contributions to our country buddy, but shooting a teenager over something to do with pickles is going to get you some serious jail time.

It doesn't sound like they were necessarily arguing with employees. I'm guessing that a discussion "alluding to pickles" was probably more sexually graphic then Coco wanted to hear standing at McD's, so he took matters into his own hands.

Not excusing what the guy did at all, but PTSD is real, and I have seen it first hand. The first step is admitting there is a problem, which is incredibly difficult. Even after that, the VA does not do a great job handling PTSD.

He ended his campaign about 10 years ago. How many other people has he pistol-whipped and shot since then?
