Annoying Co-Workers

I work overnights with a few people but...the one I'm around the most is this lady. She might hit every pet peeve with me possible. Exaggeration.(hurts her knee and acts like it is going to fall off) Needy.(wants everyone to buy her coffee) Repeats herself.(how hungry she is) I enjoy my job as it does make me decent money..but when I know I have to go in and deal with this person it annoys the **** out of me. Does anybody have...someone remotely close to this???

My workplace was full of losers like this. I'm gonna sound cold here, but the day we laid off a third of our workforce was one of the best days I've had at this job. We're practically drama-free now, and our current people have this crazy idea that they can just do their jobs and things will be OK. Until we close the plant sometime next year.

With people like that, I just ignore them and drive on. Used to be more difficult when that was my entire team, and our nightly team meeting was a discussion of my failures as an employee and human being, but it's doable.

You should train the annoying ones..............
Our training program lasts 5 weeks, and if you get an annoying person, it's a loooong time.

And I totally understand. Some of these people don't even have the basic social considerations. And I think that working overnight doesn't help matters. We don't bring out the winners (and I know that includes me:sad.

I went about 6 months without speaking to anybody at work. Some people had come to ask for help and then torn my apart. Every discussion was a nightmare, so I just decided I was done with them.

I'd check in with the one I followed for a few seconds, I'd check out for a few seconds with the one that followed me, and I'd go on about my way. People like that are not great to work with.

Stuff like this also.. does it for me. And that lady.. didn't think anything of it. If I were to clear my throat that many times..it would be apparent I'm probably going to get on somebody's nerves. Which makes some people idiots.

I usually agree. I looked in the mirror a lot.

I do know that I don't do well around a lot a gossip, and we pretty much lived on that at the time (well, the team did). I'll fail in that environment every time.

I only have a problem with this one person. Most people go along with it but it seems I'm the only one that gets annoyed by it. I barely talk. I do my job and wait to get off work.

Honestly, a little turnover for us has been a very good thing.
