Jump Around was stupid. I'm glad they don't play it anymore. Usually come that time, I'm ready to sit down for a few minutes to recharge to bring the game home in the 4th. What would be funny would be to have that big lineman guy who jumped around at the pre-season pep rally to "jump around" for the entire stadium. It'd definitely keep our players lose HAHA

I emailed him last season expressing my unhappiness that my wife, with eight young kids in tow, was turned away from the stadium and told to hike to Hilton while the tornados were bearing down on Ames. I got a reply from his secretary that he was in Florida for his mother's funeral and was VERY SURPRISED several days later to get a thoughtful email from the man himself.

Other part of the story. My wife huddled with the eight kids inside a doorway on the south side of the Jacobsen Building. An athletic trainer saw them outside and let them in, where they got to hobnob with the players coming out of the locker room to look thru the windows at the weather!

While I was unhappy with the stadium ushers for putting kids at peril, I praised the "unknown athletic trainer" who took pity on them. All's well that ends well...
