I've done my fair share of scamming, I mean selling, on eBay and shipping anything outside of the US is a just a pain in the arse.

There's only like 10 hours left on the auction so I think I'll just see how it goes and use it as a learning experience (this is my first ebay sale).

Apparently paypal makes you wait like 21 days before you can withdraw your funds. So it will be hard to get them withdrawn to keep them safe. Sounds like they do everything possible to make things hard on sellers.

So I messaged the guy and told him if he won he'd have to pay 100% of shipping costs. Here's his reply:

Dobri den! Our country is in Central Asia, if you can go through ups Tawara I can buy and mail your product, not just one piece. THANK advance.

Huh? Where did you hear this? I ALWAYS withdraw funds IMMEDIATELY after a sale.

I'd cancel that auction RIGHT NOW. Even if you don't get "f'd in the a" like 3TrueFans says, shipping to and dealing with this guy is going to be WAY more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah, they don't make it easy, that's for sure.

I had sold close to 300 items back in my prime, and they shut me down -- reason being, I "charged too much for shipping."

For example, on a $20 item, I would make shipping $9.99 or even $14.99, and make the price of the product $4.99. I did this because eBay does not make commission off of shipping price, only cost of product. So eBay would only get $.50 for my transaction as opposed to $2 like they wanted. Not a huge price difference for the cheaper products I sold, but made a ginormous impact on the larger items.

I just googled it so I'm probably wrong on that. Hopefully I can wait for the funds to go to paypal, withdraw them to an old checking account I no longer use and then transfer it over to my regular checking.

Wire me $5k and I'll outbid him, AND you can keep your item.

Seriously, I've have someone you know just log on and outbid him. You will have to pay ebay commission but is may be worth it.
