We'll miss Marchie this year. Definitely made some big plays for us last year.

I haven't seen much, and that's probably not a great sign. I saw a video of Joel whiffing on a tackle for a loss on a SF RB.

Lazard was targeted twice, but when Tanner Lee is the QB, that doesn't help lol

I feel awful for Marchie... View attachment 57136
Much like the NBA I am left speechless as to what it takes to get guys to stick on teams. It has to be politics, just like corporate America. How else could you explain a guy who led his team in receiving just 3 days ago getting cut like this? (Yes, I know it's preseason)

Hoping Marchie catches on somewhere else. As a Cowboys fan it sucks to see him get waived. Hopefully Lanning and Campos avoid a similar fate

I saw somewhere that 10% of college players (P5 level) play in the NFL. Even national championship-caliber teams are like 20% to 25%.

It is just really hard to make the next round of cuts, even for Lazard.

I wonder how much lower than 10% the number is for undrafted college players? My point being that it's a very long longshot that Lazard, Marchie, Lanning, Campos, etc will EVER make an NFL roster. So don't be surprised if none of them make a roster.

He injured his ankle that evening. And injury to players trying to make a team in the preseason is almost always a red card. Were it not for the injury he'd likely still be competing for a spot for at least a couple more games.

I don't think there's a conspiracy on this one. Marchie got hurt and they aren't going to wait around to see if he will heal up. He led his team with 35 receiving yards on two catches, so it's not like he was dominating out there. I was actually surprised and pleased that Marchie got a camp invite. He just needs to get healthy and keep working hard. That's all he can do.
