That and I think he wanted to refocus the team for the final stretch, as we had been holding our lead, but weren't taking advantage of some opportunities to extend the lead.
Agree. We had a comfortable lead at that point, but their press had us pretty sped up in the back court. Had the one turnover and a couple of other possessions they were fairly chaotic.

You can go from double digits to two possessions pretty fast at that point and think he just wanted to give everyone a breather and settle them down.

I just want to say how happy I am for Caleb. It always seemed like he had an awesome shot, but they would always rim out in his early years. There is nothing like a big 3 to get Hilton rocking and him hitting that reminded me of some of Naz’s big shots.

Looked like back spasms to me which, if you've never had them, are miserable and can take several days to fully recover from.

Grill being young and strong (and surrounded by professional therapists) helps a lot but I guarantee you he's not moving too fast this morning. The next day is always the worst because the muscles have all tightened up over night but are still prone to spasming.

They are more awful than any Big 12 referee.

Cyclobenzaprine, heat/cold pack and he'll be fine in a couple days with rest and stretching. Now that I'm over 40 I randomly get back spasms because I sleep wrong sometimes. Very annoying and painful if not treated, but a trip to urgent care for a refill of the muscle relaxers and even I will be ok in a few days.

I think texas took a time out just before the last media timeout and it appeared the medical staff looked at him and must of deemed it ok for him to play. Tough kid.

Caleb is quickly approaching "I hate that ******* guy" status.

He's pretty much hit the whole checklist now --

1.) White
2.) Good shooter
3.) In-your-face attitude
4.) Talks a lot of smack
5.) Bad haircut
6.) Been in school approximately forever

Yep, he's our own Brady Morningstar/Keiton Paige/Phil Forte/Matt Mooney now.

He's our own Ricky Vaughn

Not only did he tweak his back on a rebound, he also got nearly tackled under the rim shortly after. Played through both. What a man.

It took him 4 full seasons of 24/7 crazy work ethic to approach the natural default setting of...

Is that Gradey **** from KU?

If so, did ISU recruit him? Seems we would have had an inside track with his mom as a former BB player herself.

The taunting just seemed annoying to me. Why let them back in the game if they called a technical?

The announcers mentioned the back multiple times, I didn’t really notice anything happen to cause injury.

He bent kind of backward on a rebound on a Texas missed free throw. Immediately grabbed him back after he passed the ball away.

I get them, and they are the worst. But mine are related to an old injury, a rib that slips on the back side of my ribcage. No way to make them stop until you get an adjustment and then it still takes a couple days to be 100%.

What did Tre King do to get his tech, was at the game so don’t know
Walk out of Texas stand around and bumped one of them, It was almost as bad as when ISU murdered Pemsl, there was blood everywhere! :jimlad: It was a chicken #### call by a chicken #### ref.

I have a suspicion that it was that the ref heard Gabe talking **** to Hunter. After that he was looking for anything he could call. Tre bumped into the Texas kid and that drew the whistle.

Lipsy had just stolen the ball from Hunter and went for a layup and was fouled hard (also by hunter). At that point Gabe, Grill and Lipsy all were surrounding Hunter on the ground. We had just tied up the game after being down 11 and Hilton was on fire. Ref was just trying to lower the temperature - I'm totally fine with the call and super happy it didn't go against Gabe.
