Yes, there have been other threads about Bachelor Parties, but none that I found were for the Des Moines area. The party is occurring in late October so I am hesitant to do things outside; because of the weather. I have a couple ideas and looking for comments on them, as well as, other ideas people might have. While I when to ISU, I really don't know much about what the Des Moines area has to offer. Thanks for the help.

Oh also looking for bar and night club input as well.

Just did mb2 raceway for a bachelor party a month ago. It was a blast, I recommend it. Obviously went crazy at the bars afterwards too.

I heard this bar called The Blazing Saddles in Des Moines is the place to be. I have also heard they treat bachelors very well.

Up/Down is a fun 80s/90s new-age arcade bar near downtown which is pretty hopping and a lot of fun. They got quite a few good beers on tap as well. We went there for a bit during a bachelor party and had a fun time:

I've been to a couple bachelor parties at ICU. It's a good time for sure. One thing to think about is showering/cleaning up afterwards before going out. That takes some time for guys to drive home/to their hotel all around the metro. Just something to think about.

I've been meaning to hit up MB2, looks awesome. Another option is Skyzone.

Weather still might be somewhat decent. Frisbee golf + backpacks of beer = pretty fun (for afternoon festivities).

First item of business: do NOT schedule it for the night before the wedding.

You don't want everybody barfing on their tuxedos and passing out like Scarlett O'Hara up at the altar the next day.

Lots of guys are doing destination parties...flying out to Vegas for the weekend, for instance.

What's your budget like? Can you all rent a limo and take everybody down to Osceola for some poker/craps? I'd say Adventureland which is closer, but that's kind of a****** casino. Riverside south of Cedar Rapids is nice, too.

This. Or Beach Girls; both are a good time

Don't tell the steippers it's his bachelor party. I saw 2 of them get slapped, scratched until they bled, underwear ripped over there head all while being under the shower. I would kill the best man if that happened.

One guy had his wedding the next day.

In theory yes, however if we're talking Des Moines, I gotta believe the hookers are substantially below average, and I'm guessing the blow isn't a whole lot better.
The ones shown in the DMR in the past year were below average. Yes, very below.

Invite Vodka Sam to the party.
