Cubs/Dodgers are on ESPN, but it's on WGN.

Never thought I'd see Steve Young talking drum corps.

If George Hopkins realizes crowd reaction is important to the kids, why does he put these rebel shows on the field. It's like he's honestly surprised at the negative reaction. They were crowd favorites during the early 2000s and he went and ruined it.

George Hopkins is a DCI demon...if he isn't stopped, the whole activity is going to hell

I personally liked the Cadets. Blue Devils and Bluecoats still "blue" me away (sorry), but I really didn't see what was so controversial about the Cadets' show. People talking on microphones? O n0z!!1! Also, while hearing the little personal stories is great, I'd much rather see full shows than arbitrary little clippings.

Anyone notice the buzzing sound you heard every so often? That was the stadium lights. It was very annoying at the rose bowl, one of many reasons that venue was horrible for drum corps. (for all the talking up of it they did on the espn broadcast)

Cadets, minus the narration, wouldve been my pick to win this year. Aside from any opinions on George Hopkins and his changes to DCI, they put on some good shows.

Bluecoats had a phenomenal show, some of the best moments were cut from the broadcast though. Theyre really the first time ive seen amped voice add to a show instead of detract from it.

Crown, though they placed lower, was easily my favorite. Great show design, and WOW what a hornline.

blue stars gonna be performing? Quite a few from the marching band toured with them this summer
we just missed finals. they had a great show though, same placement as last year, but a definite score jump from last year reflecting how much better they were. Just an overall great year for drum corps.

God, i miss tour.
