When I read his "weaknesses" under ESPN I felt they copied and pasted it from Jordan Raileys. Why go after another Railey? I love Railey, don't get me wrong, but Railey will play more then him, and Railey is probably losing time next year. This guy wouldn't play at all until he was probably a junior. Just a waste of a scholarship in my opinion.

Good post Cubs.

I don't understand how/why some people have such strong feelings about a 2012 recruit that you've never seen play. Going strictly off of what ESPN writes about a kid is a very dangerous road to go down, as some above have pointed out. Iowa State/Hoiberg are obviously very serious about this young man. At this point in the program, why not trust the staff?

And as for the Railey comparisons, I feel like they are way off. I've never seen Niang play but he is 6-foot-7, 225-pounds. Very different games.

Best thing about Niang is how well-spoken & respectful he is. He was great to interview. Iowa State needs high-class 4-year players like this to mix in with the current transfers. That's why guys like Ejim, Odunsi, Okoro, Niang, Sledge, etc. will be so valuable going forward.

This guy. Who does he think he is?

If he comes here I'll have to deal with it. I really want us to get Okoro and Cook. And I would want Dingle or Staten. I've never seen him play though. People say he isn't very athletic.. then can he shoot?

This feels like the type of recruit we could one day be talking about the possibility of having his jersey retired. Bold prediction, but I see him passing Hoiberg in career points his senior year at Baylor. I trust that Fred did his scouting. I may want Okoro or Dingle more but I'd take Niang too.

Time machine?

LOL people. A few bullets

- I joined March of 2011. Is there any way to check if that was my first post ever? If so, nice.

- No **** I edited it, I thought the edit would be humorous. Some of you are real Sherlock's around here.

- I am yet to use ESPN since then. What a **** site for recruiting news.
