I was kind of a worrier as a little kid and my Dad told me:
"If it isn't going to matter 5 years from now, it's not a big deal."

I'll add one from life experience: Never by the house at the bottom of the hill. Water flows down.

My dad told me when I was leaving for college: "Everyone has 3 pillars in their life: People around you, the places you go and the things you do. When you go to college all 3 change at once - the sooner you can re-find your pillars the sooner you'll be happy and successful." That's been true my whole life through moving to new locations and changes in my career.
